INTRODUCTION

Fund Votes is an independent project that tracks mutual fund proxy voting in the US and Canada. It provides customized data and analysis to analysts, shareholders and researchers

Since 2004 US mutual fund companies have been required to publicly disclose how they cast their proxy votes. The same has been required of Canadian mutual funds since 2006.

Fund Votes has built a proprietary database of mutual fund proxy votes spanning eight years for US institutions and six years for Canadian institutions.

The voting records of large mainstream and SRI fund families and other influential investment institutions have been indexed to provide a complete profile of institutions' positions on environmental, social and governance issues.

Fund Votes' data and analysis have been used in a number of reports by shareholder advocacy groups and widely cited in the financial media.
